Supplies needed

    • 1 slice of bread
    • 1/2 cup of choclate
    • microwave
    • water


Instructions

step 1: melt choclate in microwave

step 2: pour melted choclate on to and into bread

step 3: wait until choclate hardens

step 4: pour water on bread and choclate and wait until bread washes away and all that is left is the choclate

step 5: enjoy!


Fossil Facts


The bread represents wood, the choclate represents sediment, and the entire process represents petrification

There is a petrified forrest in Califorina!

  • dark chocolate of your choice
  • small square pan or bowl
  • 1 gummy animal
  • spoon
  • microwave


insturctions

Step 1: unwrap your candy bar and break it up into qurater sized peices

Step 2: put your broken candy in your bowl or pan and microwave it until its completly melted

Step 3: now that you have a bowl or pan of wet chocolate let it sit out for two minutes or right before it completly melts and stick your gummy animal in it and make sure it doesnt sinkall the way to the botto...

Dried Mummy Snacks

  • fruit of you choice
  • dehydration machine

Instructions

step 1: wash fruit with clean water
           
step 2: place fruit in dehydration machine

step 3:  Turn dehydration machine on and wait unlit fruit is dry.

step 4: remove fruit from dehydration machine and enjoy!



Fossil Facts

         
The fruit represents organisms, dehydration machine represents the desert, and the entire process represents mummification.

Mummified fossils are often are often found in caves deserts!

frozen fossil pops

supplies needed
  • 2 cups of lemonade
  • 4 gummy animals
  • 4 popicle sticks
  • popicle tray


Instructions

Step 1:  take the lemonade of your choice and pour it in to your popicle mold

Step 2: lightly put one gummy animal in each popicle mold

Step 3: when the gummy animal has sunk to the bottom of the mold then stick one popicle stick in the frozen fossil pop

Step 4: your almost done now put your frozen fossil pops in the frezer until there completly frozen

Fossil Amber Candy

Supplies Needed:

    • 2 tbs. orange or yellow jello
    • 1 gummy bug of your choice
    • 1 small pan or bowl
    • 1 spoon or forl


Instructions

Step 1:   take your plate and but your bug dead center in the middle

Step 2:   make your jello with the directions that are given exept DONT put it in the frige right away

Step 3:   your jello liquid should be in a small pan or  bowl then take your finger or the end of a fork or spoon

and push your gummy bug to the bottom of the liquid dead center in the middle.
